Week 1 as a Cat Family!

So, Love A Cat..or whatever agency works with my local Petco never got back in contact with me.

Boyfriend and I went to the county shelter and decided to look around. We found a  few sweet looking kitties we thought we would like to meet with. The first one we met with was named Pumpkin. He was named by the shelter..he was a 6 month old orange tabby. He was very sweet in the shelter cage, rubbing on fingers and such. We got him into the meeting room and he was a dear! He was very playful and inquisitive.

After saying goodbye, we continued to “window shop” while we waited to meet with the adoption counselor. There were some sweet cats there!! I wish I could have taken them all home with me.

We finally met with the adoption counselor and mentioned we were interested in Pumpkin. We were worried she would want him to be in a multiple cat household because he is younger, but she said we would be a good fit!  She checked to make sure he had all of his shots and vetting completed, and said that if we had a carrier with us we could take him home that day (Sunday)!! And we did!! Thank you Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center!!

We are not the parents of Indy, the orange tabby.
