Dear Longwood University,

My name is SarahGrace Gomez and I graduated from Longwood in 2013. Sometimes–actually a lot of times– I get e-mails and print letters asking if I would like to donate to my alma mater. I need to explain to you why I don’t answer those letters. I need to explain to you why I will never donate. I need to explain to you why I’m turning a financially cold shoulder to Longwood.

Because I am a survivor of sexual assault, and I don’t want a single god damned dime of mine to even have the slightest chance of supporting a man who has been convicted of sexual battery.
